Considering getting your own website ?
If you want a website but have time or don't really know how or where to start, read on and see if I'm in line with your requirements.
A website should be user-friendly, easy to navigate and designed with the appropriate businesss or organization theme so it looks professional but yet simple and informative.
As a website designer, I specialize in creating a very affordable website for  small businesses, individuals, groups and organizations then, I maintain & update them at a very reasonable hourly rate. This way, you leave it all to me to alter and re-publish your site whenever changes are required.
The main steps in providing you with a website include registering your domain name, designing an appealing website that will reflect your business or organization's image, hosting your site with a reliable but yet affordable company, publishing it and then registering and submitting your new website (if needed) to a variety of search engines while staying well within your budget.
 
Before you go any further, you should ask yourself the following questions:
  1. Do I already have a domain name selected and/or registered (ex: MyCompanyName.com)?
    • I can help you with this to find a relevant name for your specific business or organization name and registering it.
  2. Do I want a reliable web hosting service that will let everyone access your website without pop-ups or distracting advertisements?
    • My web hosting company does not add pop-ups or add commercials into your website.
  3. In the design of the website, will I supply the reading material & information. -Do I have such material already accessible? -Or will I need to write it (or have someone write it for me)? 
    • This is probably the most difficult, time consuming and critical aspect of creating an effective website.
    • Either way, I can help. Keep in mind this will be a considerable factor in the design cost. It can be very time consuming especially if the wording is critical. 
  4. What about the logo, the pictures and/or the graphics to enhance the appearance of the site? -Do I have all of those already?
    • This will be a factor in the total cost of the site, but relax, I most likely can help you with this as well. I'll explain a little about "my background" in About FLwebsiteGuy.
    • I have experience with digital photogaphy and editing pictures. Here also I most likely can help. My price are very reasonable, you'll read it in Services and Fees.
  5. Do I want a basic website (like this website) mostly to let my clients or members in the know about my business or organization?  Or do I need a more complete site that will provide a shopping cart to sell some products online?  What about Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to help increase my ranking in Search Engines?
    • If your needs are basic, I can submit your website to the major search engines without an additional cost.
    • If you need more exposure (higher ranking) on the internet, I can help you in selecting the type of SEO service that should increase your ranking within the Search Engines.
  6. Will I frequently need some of the information updated (such as upcoming events, results, items price changes,...) on my website?
    • That's where my reasonable hourly rate will be appreciated compared to the outragously high rates most webmasters and designer firms charge.
