My name is Gaetan "Guy" Laniel and I'll be honest with you; if you're seeking a webmaster for your business and want a top notch professional, with years of experience and a large portfolio under his/her belt, I would recommend you look elsewhere. I am not and I do not pretend to be a top notch webmaster, although I am striving to get there.
What I am is a relatively new website designer who wants to build a business where my clients, once satisfied with their websites, will recommend me to their friends and associates. I can only achieve this goal by being dependable, responsive to your needs and demonstrate that through actions, not just words I can produce what has been promised. I am confident you will find me honest, upfront, quality minded and you will end up with a professional looking website.
My background:
Located in Coconut Creek Florida, I programmed, for more than a dozen years, a wide variety of manufacturing automated equipment. Also, part of my job responsibilities consisted of writing procedures for that equipment and other tasks. This experience comes in handy writing websites.
My artistic talents come mostly from years of photography as a hobby, photo club competitor, part-time photographer, and years of experience as a model maker for a large company.
I had been thinking about creating websites for several years. I finally did it when asked by a non-profit artists guild, www.LOAG.org. They wanted a website to increase their visibility and to use as a communication tool among the members and the public.
My limited experience as a webmaster:
With very few websites under my belt, I realize fully that I will not get the "big bucks" for designing websites. However, I can tell you that you will get a complete website that is tasteful, informative, easy to browse and at an affordable cost.
When an update or maintenance is required on your website, I charge an hourly fee. The time I will need to do your work, will not reflect the time I may require to "learn" a specific function an experienced webmaster should already know. Through diligence, I'll complete what I said I would and when I said I would. You will find within a short time that I am dependable (not a common quality in the internet world).
My limited experience's advantages:
One of the advantages to have me design your website is that I will take the time necessary to create your site to your satisfaction. It's important to you to properly reflect your business or organization and it's important to me as I need satisfied clients for future referrals to build up my business and attract new clients.
Another advantage is that my fees will be a fraction of what most webmasters and web design firms charge to create and maintain/update a website. Frequently, webmasters or web design companies will create a website at a somewhat reasonable cost, but as soon as an update is required (and updates will be required), they charge an exorbitant fee ($50 to $150+/hr). I'll explain about my fees in the Services & Fees page. |
